George Butler was one of the illustrators in the illustrations award, I really liked his work because of the delicate line work and special use of colour. I like to work a lot with fine liner when drawing therefore it reminded me of my own work. I noticed in his pieces that usually he would centre the piece on one person through the hussle of the crowded scenes. In the illustrations above Butler is depicting the current situation with Syria.
